Calfhide

Essentia Calf Hide - its just exquisite! Heavy and dreamy to the touch,with a buttery texture, a density we refer to as heavy, this is a fine grained leather with a beautiful creamy feel of luxury. This makes a flogger thats real thuddy but will still give some bite from the edge of the falls, its an incredibly tactile leather and everyone thats ever seen one and felt it wants one! Available in two tail widths, 1/2inch and 1/4inch.

Certain leathers are just incredibly tactile and kid soft to the touch, non more so than our Lamb Skin, Deer Hide, Elk Hide, Bullhide and Calfhide, they are all intensly creamy, exquistely soft, supple and luxurious leathers. A collection of the most gorgeous sensations of the skin, we call them our Sensational Five. All have in common a feel of enveloping dreamy softness. When considering these beautiful leathers it is worth noting that lamb is the lightest weight, then ascending to Deer, then Elk, then Bullhide and ultimately Calf that combines the heaviest weight.

As with all Essentia Floggers, unless otherwise stated, the handle is plaited in a 12 or 16 plait as standard and the knots an 8 bite Turks head with pineapple interwieve, plaited & tied using first grade kangaroo hide over a turned english oak dowel, lead weighted individually for the perfect balance.
